2 New Picnic Tables
Two new picnic tables were built (plan) in August 2018 by owner Paul Schmeil with painting assistance from granddaughters Jane & Ruby and with the Association paying for the materials.
Other projects that Paul donated time this summer in helping to maintain Coffee Creek Condos include:
- LED Light Bulb Replacement – Problem: The 5,000-hour LED bulbs were failing one year after installation. Replaced 112 Led bulbs with a 25,000-hour LED bulb which is expected to have a 5.7-year life when operated 12 hours per day. (Note that the life expectancy of a 5,000-hour bulb is about 1.15 years.) Also, installed new fixtures at units 26, 36, 37, & 39.
- Leveled the Pedestrian Bridge Next to Road Bridge – One corner was raised about 4.5 inches. The pathway to the bridge needs to be raised as part of the asphalt job.
- Pool Area – Replaced First Aid kit, fixed the shower, and replaced door on top of the pool equipment building. NOTE: The pool equipment building needs to be re-roofed.
- Asphalt Patches – Identified 6 areas (total 667 sq. ft) needing asphalt patches to eliminate trip hazards.
- Painting the Docks – Worked with Randy to get the docks painted.
- Dry Rot – Worked on Units 39, 41,42 and 44 to replace dry rot.
The Board presented Paul with a plaque for his work this summer.
